Product Details
Hornton Blue limestone is a limestone from near Banbury. It is no longer quarried unfortunately. It was used a lot in the last century by artists such as Henry Moore. it’s a wonderful stone, similar to Great Tew limestone/ironstone from the Cotswolds. The surface is very mottled and interesting. This is drilled and could be used for flowers, but I see it as a sculptural shape to stand alone. The form is slightly anthropomorphic, which was intentional.
