Teucer Memorial Saddles

These are a reinforced concrete saddle or shoe for the safe installation of freestanding monolith memorials. This foundation is set below ground level and the stone is slotted down into it. This creates a more traditional appearance, a standing stone just rising from the grass, as opposed to a lawn memorial fixing where there is a visible concrete slab and stone base sitting above ground level.

These are sold as in sets of 8 or 12 on a single pallet. 8 saddles are £600, 12 are £840. This price includes VAT and delivery. If you want less than 8 saddles this can be arranged by negotiation but this will be less cost effective as they will be from my own stock and therefore will need to be shipped twice. The factory only stock pallets of 8.

Product Details

This is similar to the saddle used to install the Commonwealth War Graves throughout the world, but my version is not as wide as they were originally designed with a splayed shape to rotate and butt up to each other to maintain even spacing. This is not necessary when installing individual stones. I used to use the war grave saddles but ended up cutting them down and this seemed wasteful and laborious, this motivated me to design my own, which are so much easier to use.

Delivery can be arranged on a standard 120cm x 100cm pallet

The individual units measure 60cm x 40cm x 21.5cm and weigh 46kg, so a pallet of 4 will weigh around 205kg, a pallet of 8 will weigh around 390kg and a pallet of 12 will weigh around 570kg. These saddles are reinforced and cast at the same factory as the Commonwealth War Grave saddles, and meet all the relevant British Standard requirements.
